The Big One

'The Big One' is a massive gap jump located inside the Plaza Society skate park of Seregno. The biggest in the plaza, the gap is composed of three staircases that 'fall' from the stage to the arena.

Around 1.8 meters high and 2 meters long, The Big One is the local testing ground on which all skaters that pass through the Plaza are compared. This is an ideal gap, a gap seldom mastered, a gap to be studied and feared.

BLAST! The Big One is where top skaters compete against each other at the infamous Italian gap for cash and prizes. 30 skaters will compete, 15 that qualified from last year and 15 hand-picked from sent-in skate films (check them out http://bigone.blast-distribution.it/). Riders are divided into 5 heats and after a 10-minute Jam session they each go up against “The Big One” to land their best trick. This year’s Big One will also include a "Burn Expression Session" dedicated to the art of cracking creative tricks in the bowl.
